Seihouinyama-jou

This is Yuga-jinja shrine in Nara city.

The gate was closed.

They open gate a few times in a year.

Castle is behind the shrine.

Takatsuki-jou, 2

This is Takayama Ukon.

He is a christian daimyo.

His father got Takatsuki-jou.

Ukon became a lord after his father.

He was transferred to Funage-jou in Akashi.

There is Funage-jou.

Ukon died in Philippines after he was excilled to abroad.

Takatsuki-jou

This stone wall is a replica.

This area is a park.

Yamazaki-jou

Yamazaki-jou is on the top of Tennouzan.

Tennouzan is 270m above sea level.

Hideyoshi build Yamazaki-jou after he defeated Mitsuhide.

Hideyoshi abandoned this castle at 1584.

Koriyama-jou , 3

Tenshudai.

There is not a tenshukaku any more.

There is a 'Sakasa-Jizou' in the stone wall of tenshudai.

In war time, many daimyo build castles.

So stones were short.

They used Jizou-stone or gravestone for stone wall.

Koriyama-jou , 2

Higashi-sumi yagura.

Yamato-koriyama-jou

Ootemon.

First, Tsutsui junkei built this castle at 1580.

After it Toyotomi Hidenaga came here.

Fukuyama-jou

I took this picture at 2003.10.25 when I went to YN-Hiroshima on business.

I stayed a hotel near here.

And this castle is near the Fukuyama station.

Sasayama-jou, 2

This is a tenshudai.

But there was not a tenshukaku.

Because Ieyasu prohibited to build a tenshukaku.

Maybe this castle become to strong when it has a tenshukaku.

Sasayama-jou

Sasayama-jou was built 1609 after Tokugawa Bakufu started.

This is 'shoin' whichi was rebuilt in 2000.

Sakamoto-jou , 2

This is Akechi Mitsuhide.

Maybe, he is a hero in this region.

Nobunaga attacked Hieizan.

Mitsuhide killed Nobunaga.

Or Mitsuhide was a good lord.

Sakamoto-jou

This is Lake Biwa.

Sakamoto-jou was near here in the water.

The castle existed from 1571 to 1586.

Akechi Mitsuhide built this castle.

Zeze-jou

Here was Zeze-jou.

Zeze-jou existed from 1601 to 1870.

Tokugawa-bakufu build this castle.

Zeze is a important place for trafic.

Funage-jou

Funage is in Japanese "fune age", or in English "to rais a ship".

Funage is a name of this area in Akashi city near seaside.

Once, Christian Daimyo Takayama Ukon owned this castle.

After Akashi-jou was built , Funage-jou was abolished in 1619.

Akashi-lighthouse

This was build at 1657.

This was used to 1963.

Over there, we can see Akashi-ohashi.

Akashi-jou was there from 1619 to 1874.

Those two yaguras are real building.
